TLF Summer Internship Overview PDF  | Print |  E-mail

A top-performing IT team starts by having the right people on board, however, today's IT leaders are faced with increasing challenges in the recruitment, development, and retention of quality staff. The Technology Leadership Forum (TLF) IT mentoring internship program is designed to assist in addressing these challenges. By investing in future talent, it can augment your traditional recruiting strategies to ensure that your organization will have a continuous talent pool from which to draw upon with the appropriate skills and competencies needed in this dynamically changing environment.
The TLF internship program is a private sector and government-supported initiative that will encourage young students interested in IT to further explore this field. By showing them that potential employers are interested in developing their skills, they will be motivated to continue pursuing a career in IT. TLF will provide young talent with direction on key IT skills that are needed by Bermudian employers and an opportunity to be mentored by top IT leaders. This interaction also enables IT managers to preview emerging talent and gain early access to the young professionals that are soon to be available in the Bermuda market. This 12 – 13 week program will give students ample experience in the various aspects of the IT industry by providing real world work experience and intense instructor-led classes.
No doubt you are able to see the benefits such a program will have in the community, business sector, and within the IT industry especially. We are certain you will agree this is a program we have needed on the island for some time now and will join us in support of this worthy initiative.
